Norma married Luther Brewer, and celebrated their honeymoon at Pat Obrien's in New Orleans. She would later spin some colorful tales about Luther flirting with a waitress that night, whether those stories were true or not would always remain a mystery. Norma and Luther's marriage did eventually come to a close, regardless of the reasons for the relationship's end, they shared four children together, whom they adored.
